We had a late lunch at The Local. The service was impeccable. Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the food and drink options. We had fish and chips. I live in both Toronto and Newfoundland so I am most definitely biased. My friend loved the fish and chips. I thought it was just OK. Not bad but not great either. Despite this I highly recommend The Local. Excellent atmosphere, live music, nice little patio, reasonable prices, great service and very good food. I will order something different next time. I give this place a 9 out of 10!
Loved this place . Gem of roncesvalles, in my opinion. I loved it mostly because of its ambiance and the kind of crowd that comes here. It can be both - a very happening bar and, sometimes a quiet and ambient place. Drinks are good. Bartenders and servers are welcoming and amazing folks. I hope this place keeps getting its customers and never has to see a bad day. Always recommendable for me.
This is my "Local" since moving to the area this is hands down my favourite place to go and unwind. The owners are the loveliest human beings. The staff are incredible. I have had the pleasure to get to know the staff here quite well. Amazing service and take the time to talk to you and make you feel welcome. I always recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time out with friends or alone! I am grateful to have this spot as my go to! Connor and Mikey are the 2 bartenders I the most. They have both looked out for me and friends in so many ways. They are absolute gems
Eclectic, dimly lit place, ideal to strike up a conversation with a fellow drinker or bartender. They have a grand pour of Guinness, a good selection of bourbons, scotches, whiskeys and excellent live music on an intimate stage. There is a cool patio out back and a small patio out front made for people-watching. The menu of tasty food includes lots of vegetarian options and my personal favourites, House Smoked Wings and the Rue Burger. Lip smacking goodness. By far the best bar in the neighbourhood.
This place has many charms and is definitely for music lovers. I had a veggie burger and I loved it.

I let Connor know that I was uncomfortable with another guest and he took care of it with ease and grace. For all women looking for a safe space to enjoy a few drinks and great live music- please look to the local. Great vibes. Great music. Great staff.
The Pub with its authentic touch, It features a small stage that regularly hosts live music, adding to the lively yet chill atmosphere. They offer a great selection of beers and tasty snacks, making it an ideal spot to relax, chat with friends, and enjoy the tunes. Highly recommended for a laid-back evening with good vibes and great music!
Fantastic place, was recommended to me and it lives up to it. Service was great, my old fashioned was well made, and a good selection of beers. The was no live music when I went but from what I hear, they do have good acts and I shall most likely be going back to catch some. The fish and chips was really good too!
